Music World Cares - Survivor Foundation Holiday Weekend
The weekend will include the 6th Annual Holiday Carnival for 600 disadvantaged kids in the community featuring rides, games, food and a special performance by Music World Music Artists Lady Lux, and IB3, a Spirit Rising "Holiday Praise Party" and a "Hoops for Hunger" basketball game featuring the highly anticipated rematch between Music World Entertainment's CEO, Mathew Knowles, and his MW Ballers and radio host, J Mac and his KBXX 97.9 The Box All-Stars! Each child attending the holiday carnival will leave with a gift card for a local grocery store and a wonderful prize pack.
Contributors include The Kantner Group, Stumpf Craddock Massey & Farrimond, PC and Goldring, Hertz, & Lichtenstein, and Lee & Laura Slataper.
December 14th: (6pm - 10pm) Holiday Praise Party hosted by Spirit Rising Music.
Location: House of Deréon Media Center, 2204 Crawford on the Music World Entertainment property.
A chance for the Gospel community to gather, worship and pray for Houston's underserved. Entertainment will include Grammy Nominated Trinitee 5:7, Sheri Jones-Moffett, Brian C. Wilson, Lamar Campbell, Shawn MacLemore, James Fortune, Ron Summers, Shei Atkins and more. Patrons will be asked to bring canned goods to benefit Target Hunger. Praise 92.1 will broadcast live from 6:00pm-10:00pm.
December 15th: (4pm-9pm) 6th Annual Music World Cares Holiday Carnival
Location: Music World Campus, 1505 Hadley Street (downtown) at the corner of LaBranch.
An event to benefit 600 children (ages 2 months to 15 years old). The carnival will include rides, face painting, and a visit from Santa. Children will receive gifts, groceries and hope for the New Year.
December 16th: (3pm - 5pm) 1st Annual - "Hoops for Hunger" Celebrity Basketball game.
Location: Texas Southern University's Health and Physical Education Arena.
Mathew Knowles and his Music World Ballers team will team up with Radio-One's KBXX's J-Mac and the 97.9 The Box All-Stars basketball team for a highly anticipated re-match. Patrons are asked to bring $5 and a canned good for entry to the game. In addition, Houston Artists Chamillionaire and Slim Thug will be helping the MW Ballers, along with NBA star, Nick Van Exel helping out the All-Stars with 97.9 The Box. Music World Music Artists IB3, Lady Lux, and J Xavier will all perform live at the game.
