Frank Thomas, CEO of The African American Pulpit has written a letter to all subscribers to announce that the Summer 2010 issue will be the final one for the journal.

In addition, it will be a digital only one. The letter cited that the economic recession has caused a 25% drop in subscriptions and 40% drop in advertising which eliminated the possibility to pay for operating costs.

Thomas assured subscribers that refunds will be available to subscribers who wish it. The African American Lectionary will still be available. In addition, the African American Pulpit website will still be available to those who wish to purchase back issues.
